The Autobiography of a Mother Wasp

Long ago,a tiny little wasp was I,
But a naughty little one,
Hummed and buzzed all the while,
Rushed to the meadows,
Searched for ripened fruits,
On sucking the juicy nectar,
Flew high and low rapidly,
Ah! Lots of fun I had,
Enjoying gifts of nature,
Day by day I grew,
Looking so lovely and sweet,
With soft yellow body,
Striped with black,
A transparant netted wings,
To fly and zoom around,
Fluttering and dancing,
Skimming and diving,
Like a rocket,I shot into the air,
Really fun to hover around men,
A scary little insect was I.
"Ough!Ough!"cried little children,
Faster and faster,
Round and round,
I went over their heads,
Men drove me with rackets,
What a funny game I had!.
One fine day,I met an handsome mate,
Eye and eye talked,
His soft feathers tickled my wings,
I made love with him,
Early summer,I searched for a quiet                                                             place,
On the roof of the house,
Made a sweet home,
With paper pulp and mud,
Not allowed anyone to near it,
Frightened them with my stings,
Quietly I laid white small round eggs,
Sealed the nest for a long time,
Waited patiently day by day,
For the right hours to come,
Now I knew the secret of birth,
The joy and pain of a mother,
Curiously I peeped into my combed                                                             -nest,
What an exciting sight!
Out came my young ones ,
Crawled with their soft silky skin.
Tears rolled down my eyes,
I swirled ,twirled and whirled
Like a gale force wind
It was the happiest moment in my life
Flapping my wings I flew out
To catch a prey
Within a wink of my eyes,
Rushed into the home,
My joy knew no bounds,
Seeing them sucking the juicy prey
Gently I fanned my wings
To keep them warm and safe
I became a proud mother wasp,
On seeing my childeen flapping,
Out they flew at jet speed,
Now I wait and wait patiently
Hoping to meet them again.
